CD Release
I wanted to let you know about my Centrediscs CD release party of Myth, Legend, Romance at the Canadian Music Centre, 20 St. Joseph Street, Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 7:30.
Three of my concertos are on the CD: Persephone and Demeter, for violin, viola, and orchestra which we recorded with my daughter, Erika on violin, Rivka Golani on viola, and the Regina Symphony Orchestra; Sherwood Legendfor French horn with Kurt Kellan on horn and the Calgary Philharmonic; and my Concerto for Violin (Faces of Woman) with Erika and the Sneak Peek Orchestra recorded last spring in Toronto.
Rivka Golani happened to be touring Canada at this time and was able to stop over in Toronto on her way back to England so we scheduled the launch when she could be here to perform. She and Erika will be accompanied by Rachel Andrist in an abridged and narrated (by me) version of Persephone and Demeter. Also, Erika will play a movement of the violin concerto.

Sergio Carolino
This guy is amazing. Sergio Carolino, the fellow who recorded my Requiem for Wounded Knee with Roger Bobo narrating, has invented a sort of a tuba he calls the Lusophone (click the image to see it). Take a listen to his latest on his MySpace site at www.myspace.com/thetubab.
