OPERA

Sortilegio (2021)  This is what is known as a parody or pastiche opera where music from the past is rewritten to fit the new opera. Sortilegio is a story about vampires and magic, romance and strife, and has no lack of action! The music is from every age including Baroque, Romantic, French, German, and my own. It will include such works as the Liebsleider Waltzes by Brahms, the Leiermann by Schubert, the Cold Song aria by Purcell, the Tzar’s Bride by Rimsky-Korsakof’s and many others, including myself. The arrangements are mine and the words and story are Vivianne Delorme’s. The piano reduction has been performed but it awaits a full production for it to be orchestrated. If you’re interested, contact me. Here are some scenes from the piano reduction.
