- Selected by the University of British Columbia Library Rare Books and Special Collections to write a new work for brass trio with the method of composition being documented, 2023

- Garden of Alice opera filmed by Pacific Opera Victoria for commercial release in 2021.
- Received FACTOR grant to produce Centrediscs CD, Myth, Legend, Romance: The Concertos of Elizabeth Raum which is marketed internationally both as compact disc and downloadable form.
- Received major Ontario Arts Council grant to compose new opera for the Maritime Concert Opera, Rex Deverall, librettist. Workshopped by the Maritime Concert Opera in 2015 and premiered by Opera Nova Scotia in 2016.
- Composer in Residence, Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra, 2019/2020.
- Co-founded two new music ensembles: the Prairie Festival of New Music in 1994 and the Contemporary Directions Ensemble in 1979.
- Featured composer for the 8th Tucson Winter Chamber Music Festival in Tucson, Arizona, 2001, The Colours of Music Festival in Barrie, Ontario 2007, The International Women’s Brass Conference in Toronto, 2010, and International Tuba Conferences in Minnesota 1998, Regina 2000, and Budapest 2004.
- President of the Regina Musical Club during their memorable Schubertiade to celebrate the 90th anniversary in 1997. The Club brought back 9 young Regina musicians who had located elsewhere for the two concerts which were recorded by the CBC and highlighted in an award winning documentary by filmmaker, Frank Halbert, called Schubertiade, Somewhere on the Prairie.
- Organized the Recital Competition given by the Regina Musical Club which has now become an important annual event.
- Wrote the music for the opening of the new CBC building in Regina in a collaboration with author, Rex Deverell.
- Opera, Eos: Dream of Nicholas Flood Davin, was commissioned, produced and performed by the Prairie Opera. Later the Music Department of the University of Regina and the Chamber Players of the Regina Symphony Orchestra, directed by Ruth Smillie and conducted by Kathryn Laurin at the Riddell Centre of the Arts, remounted the opera in honour of the City of Regina’s Centennial Celebrations. The opera was recorded by the CBC in a special broadcast that covered both the writing of the opera and the work, itself.
- Opera, Garden of Alice was first opera presented by the Globe Theatre of Regina directed by Ken Kramer and recorded by the CBC, 14 performances on tour and in Regina. Filmed by the Pacific Opera of Victoria, conducted by Timothy Vernon and directed by Glynis Leyshon.
- One of five composers commissioned from across Canada by the St. Lawrence String Quartet to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Recorded on their CD, Sea to Sea.
- One of five composers selected by Julian Armour, founder of the Music and Beyond Festival in Ottawa, to write a piece of chamber music inspired by paintings from the National Gallery collection for a commission by the CBC.
- Numerous grants from the Saskatchewan Arts Board for commissions and projects.
- CBC commissions for the following compositions: The Legend of Heimdal, premiered by the Regina Symphony, John Griffiths, soloist; The Olmutz Concerto for Alto Trombone premiered by the Regina Symphony Orchestra, Christian Lindberg, soloist; Four Elements for String Quartet premiered at the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival by the Arthur Leblanc String Quartet; Table at the Bushwakker premiered at Banff by the St. Lawrence String Quartet at which Raum accompanied the quartet on a tour including Edmonton and Calgary.
