Eos:  The Dream of Nicholas Flood Davin (1990)  100 min.  A Three act opera scored  for six main roles, chorus and minor roles, and chamber orchestra.  Commissioned by the Prairie Opera,  premiered in Regina on  January, 1991,  and performed again in Saskatoon in May for 7 performances in all.  Recorded by CBC for a 3 hour broadcast special. Remounted in 2003 as part of the Centennial Celebrations for the City of Regina. DVD of the performance available on request.  CMC

Garden of Alice  (1983)  concert version of  the above, scored for four singers SATB, Narrator, 2 percussionists, and piano.  Premiere, in 1984 at the Norman Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina. CMC

Ian the Oboe (1985) 7 min.  Narrator and chamber orchestra.  Written for the Regina Symphony Chamber Players for their school concerts. CMC

Little Match Girl (2007) 30 min.ballet for piano, percussion, flute, and synthesizer. Commissioned by the Youth Ballet of Saskatchewan for their Professional Ensemble performance. Premiered Nov. 24, 2006. DVD of the performance available on request.  CMC

Mulligan’s Toy Shop  (1983)  40 min.  Musical for children to perform.  Text by the composer.  Instructions for sectionalized rehearsals.  Optional parts for rhythm band.   Accompanied by piano. CMC

Nation  (1998) 10 min. Work for tuba and tape premiered by John Griffiths at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference in Minneapolis. Tuba/Euph. Press

Northern Lights  (1995) 14 minutes. For solo flute and tape.  Commissioned by the Saskatchewan Youth Ballet with assistance from the Canada Council. Premiere performance on May 11, 1995, with Jane Schudel, flute. CMC

Prelude to Parting  (1995) 14 min. For Trombone, Violin, and tape. Commissioned by the Saskatchewan Youth Ballet with assistance from the Canada Council. Premiere performance on May 11, 1995 with mother-daughter dancers, Connie and Katrina Wernikowski, and father and daughter musicians, Richard and Erika Raum. Also performed at the International Trombone Festival in Feldkirch, Austria, in 1996. DVD of the performance available on request. CMC

Secret  (1998) 10 min. Interactive work for tuba and tape premiered by John Griffiths at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference in Minneapolis,  Minnesota. Tuba/Euphonium Press

The Garden of Alice (1983) 110 min.  A two-act opera based on Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, scored for 2 percussionists, piano, and 9 singers.  Premiered at the Globe Theatre with Tracy Dahl as Alice  in 1985, directed by Ken Kramer, for 17 performances.  Recorded by CBC. CMC

The Passion of Carmen, full length (100 minutes) ballet commissioned by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, choreographed by Mauricio Wainrot of Argentina. Composer

The Robot From Orion (1989)  20 min.  For narrator, two optional dancers, and chamber orchestra.  Commissioned by the Saskatoon Symphony for performance at the Canada Games in 1989 and for their school concert series.  DVD of the performance available on request.  CMC

Thunder in a Concave Vacuum (1986) 30 min.  A multi-media  theatre work of taped sounds, live musicians, lighting effects, audience participation, music and drama.  Commissioned by the Globe Theatre. CMC

Transplants, for clarinet  or oboe and  tape commissioned by Pauline Minevich for performance in the 2009 Prairie Festival of New Music. CMC

Will There Be a Time (1997) 12 minute work for unaccompanied tuba with dialogue by the tubist. Premiered at the International Tuba Euphonium Conference in Riva del Garda, Italy, by John Griffiths in 1997 and later recorded by him on his CD, Canadian Chops. Tuba/ Euph Press.
